February Outing -- 2017

Need Winter Outing Gear?
  • The PIT has items from the troop gear exchange.  See the Troop Quartermaster.
  • See the Snow Camp Personal Equipment list and the Parent Information Packet.
  • ATTEND THE MEETINGS PRIOR TO THE OUTING!  If you don't you're missing out!
  • Parents, please attend the parent meeting in January and February too.  (Well, you should attend all of them but especially these two).

Remember ...
STOP THE MADNESS, we don't take ANY COTTON on snow outings, snow caving especially!

Mt. Hood Snow Camping

Many Scouts wait ALL YEAR for this! This outing is where so much growth can happen. The boys discover the snow we play in can become a tool for survival, learning  skills that will stay with them the rest of their lives. First year Scouts get to stay the day and practice skills in the snow, then look forward to their 2nd year when they will actually 'cave it' overnight.

  • OUTING DATE: See the monthly calendar and watch for the emailed permission slip link.
  • Drivers: Sno Park permits are required and you must carry chains or be equipped with approved traction tires.
  • Scouts: Bring extra money for the traditional Calamity Jane's burger, fries and shake stop afterwards!
